One man vs Facebook? An eight-year-long legal battle over Facebook censoring his photo of 1800s painting is finally over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2011\u00a0Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Durand-Ba\u00efssas posted a photo<\/strong> of\u00a0<\/span>Gustave Courbet\u2019s 1866 L’Origine du monde<\/em> (The Origin of the World). The\u00a0painting, based in Mus\u00e9e d’Orsay<\/a><\/span>, has always been surrounded by controversy. And it wasn’t in Facebook’s taste for art<\/strong>. They took down<\/strong> Durand-Ba\u00efssas’ photo and his Facebook account. So he sued them<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
